ROLE SNAPSHOT: As the Technical Support Specialist, you'll be the main IT point of contact for Australia, focused on IT Support for internal users (break/fix), project management, vendor management, and stakeholder communication. It's a 'non-standard role' where you'll work alongside a global IT team yet be responsible for running local IT in Australia. You'll be required to understand the wider scope of IT and how it fits strategically into the business, then effectively communicate this to local stakeholders. Responsibilities include: Break/fix IT Support for internal users - laptops, Windows & Mac OS, Microsoft 365 & Azure, Windows Server, routers/switches & wireless access points, printers, mobile phones etc. Monitor and manage internal local network systems infrastructure. Project planning and management of local IT projects. SaaS vendor management. Extensive communication with senior stakeholders to understand and address IT pain points and facilitate IT change management. Think outside the box to develop innovative IT solutions to fix business problems. IT Security - rolling out security features and educating on security awareness while ensuring users abide by policies/procedures. Prepare technical writing and detailed documentation REQUIRED EXPERIENCE / BACKGROUND / KNOWLEDGE Suitable for an IT Support Specialist with competent infrastructure knowledge and capable of 'seeing the bigger picture' when it comes to IT. Ideal for someone who wants to move towards IT management in the future - management, oversight, and strategy. The following is required: Proven desktop & infrastructure support experience inside mid-sized yet complex enterprise environments. Competent technical understanding of Windows Server; Azure & Microsoft 365; Virtualisation; Routing/Switching and WAN/LAN. Demonstrate vendor management and project management experience. Excellent communication skills, capable of clearly articulating thoughts/concepts in easy-to-understand language while forming relationships with management and understanding their needs. Self-starter capable of working independently, managing their own priorities, and making decisions with minimal supervision. Display a clear ability for self-learning and proactively 'thinking outside the box' to problem solve. Show logical and competent technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Able to work in a fast-paced environment and capable of successfully navigating roadblocks. Successfully pass criminal and background police checks. This is a full-time permanent role located in the Sydney CBD (hybrid working available) that is offering circa $110,000 - $120,000 (plus super) - depending on experience .
